Sheridan and his wife Gail, both 46, are accused of lying under oath during his defamation action against the News Of The World in 2006. They both deny the charges.
The action, in which he won £200,000 damages, followed articles in the paper that alleged he was an adulterer who visited swingers’ clubs.
Ms Tucker told advocate depute, Alex Prentice QC, the meeting happened in “the cold weather – later September to November”.
The 40-year-old said Sheridan had discussed the printed allegations with him before a hustings meeting at the university.
He said Sheridan had told him he had been to the swingers’ club twice, and that Anvar Khan would “never testify” against him.
He said the pair went to the university canteen, where Sheridan told him his actions arose out of the “weakness of the flesh”.
